• The Earth rotates or spins on its axis. This movement is called ROTATION. 

• It takes 24 hours or one day.

• It causes day and night.

 

 

 

  

• The Earth revolves or orbits around the Sun. This movement is called REVOLUTION. 
• It takes 365 days and 6 hours. That is why every 4 years we have a leap year (366 days, 29th of February).
